Program Fee*

*Includes tuition for a course load of up to 15 semester hours, orientation, student services, personal and academic advising, and excursions. This fee is paid directly to the University of Maryland.
A $500 non-refundable deposit (included in the program fee) will be due within two weeks of acceptance in order to hold your place in the program. The remaining balance will be due in August (for fall or year) or January (for spring).
Other Costs
In addition to the program fee, students on the Maryland-in-London program are responsible for paying their own airfare, room & board, and personal expenses while abroad. Please see below for a break down of estimated additional expenses.

*Personal expenses include public transportation, textbooks, class activities fees, and personal entertainment and travel. These expenses vary greatly depending on personal spending preferences.

Additional Fees
Work Placement/Internship with FIE - $995
Work Placement/Internship with London Metropolitan University - $1,400
Students who enroll in more than 15 credits will incur a fee of $273 per additional credit hour with a maximum of 18 credit hours.
UM students can use their university, state and federal financial aid towards the Maryland-in-London program fee. Students from other institutions should check with their home financial aid office as to the applicability of their financial aid to a UM study abroad program.
UM students on the Maryland-in-London program are eligible to apply for a Maryland-in-London scholarship. These scholarships vary in amount and are awarded on the basis of academic background and financial need.
