Attend General Advising

General Advising sessions are held frequently during the week during the academic year and two times a week during the summer and winter terms.

All students interested in programs with whom Maryland does not have partnership/sponsorship/ agreement are required to attend General Advising. Students considering a number of options, or who are unsure how to research programs, are strongly encouraged to attend or to meet with a Peer Mentor to discuss options.

If you already know you want to apply to a Maryland program, you can do so directly without attending a General Advising session!

Please call or email the office to reserve a space for a session where a Study Abroad Peer Mentor will discuss:

  • Program options
  • Academics
  • Financial Information (scholarships, financial aid, etc)
  • The Study Abroad Process

General Advising Schedule:

From September 8 until the end of Fall 2009, General Advising will be:

Tuesdays: 11:00 am

Wednesdays: 3:30 pm

Fridays:  General Session at 1:00 pm
