Study Abroad Transcripts

If you attended a study abraod program administered by the University of Maryland, College Park Study Abroad and require an original transcript from your time abroad, we may be able to assist you.

READ BEFORE PROCEEDING: If you participated in a program as a member of the military, or studied abroad before 1981, then please go to the University of Maryland University College. It is likely that you participated in a program sponsored by the University of Maryland University College (click here for military transcripts).

Note: If you did not participate in a program listed below, you did not participate in a UM program and will need to contact the institution that coordinated your program.

UM students/ alumni: If you are or were a University of Maryland, College Park student, and you participated in any of the programs listed below, then you may request a Study Abroad Transcript.

University of Maryland, College Park Study Abroad Programs for which the Study Abroad Office can provide certified copies of host institution transcripts for UM students:

  • Maryland-in-Alcala*
  • Maryland-in-Berlin*
  • Maryland-in-Nice*
  • Maryland-in-Australia (Macquarie)
  • Summer programs in Taxco, Mexico; Oxford, England; Tuebingen, Germany
  • University System of Maryland in Leiden, The Netherlands
  • University of Maryland Exchange Programs

If you participated in the Maryland-in-London program, your grades are on your UMCP transcript; you must request your UM transcript from the Registrar's Office.

*The Maryland-administered programs in Alcala, Berlin and Nice are hybrid programs.  The Resident Director courses appear on a Maryland transcript, which you may request through http://testudo.umd.edu.  Courses taught by host institution faculty appear as transfer credit on your Maryland transcript.  The Study Abroad Office can provide you with a copy of the host insitution transcript.  If you need an original, you will need to request it directly from the host institution in Spain, Germany or France.

If you attended the Denmark International Study (DIS) Program through University of Maryland, you may request your transcript directly through Danish Institute for Study Abroad.

Official Macquarie transcripts are available by accesssing http://www.reg.mq.edu.au/Forms/SESAcad.pdf as well.

Non-UM students: If you are not a UM student but participated in Maryland-in-France or Maryland-in-Spain through University of Maryland, College Park, then you must request a transcript from the University of Maryland Registrar's Office. Please call 301.314.8240.

Please note that this transcript will show only your registration and grades for the UM courses abroad; courses taken at a foreign institution were sent directly to your home institution on the original foreign transcript. You may request a copy from your home institution study abroad or registrar's office.  If you need an original, you will need to request it directly from the host institution. 

If you participated in the Maryland-in-Australia program, the USM program in Leiden, The Netherlands, or the USM program in Denmark through DIS, then your home institution has your original transcript from your Study Abroad term. We can also mail copies of your foreign transcript to you or your home institution, but these are not considered official.
