Program Cost

Spring Break 2009 Program Fee: $1,250

Included: tuition and fees, housing, one group meal, round trip transportation from the airport in Frankfurt to Mannheim and within Germany associated with the class, and course-related expenses such as entrance fees to museums.

Not Included: personal expenses, personal in-country transportation costs, most meals, international airfare

Students are responsible for meals, personal expenses, and transportation not included above. Participants will have access to student cafeterias. The Study Abroad Office will suggest a group itinerary that each student is responsible for purchasing.  The round trip airfare from Washington, D.C. to Frankfurt, Germany in March 2009 is estimated to be in the range of $800-$1000.

Application fee and deposit:
A non-refundable $30 application fee is due with the application. Applicants understand that if admitted to the program, they are responsible for paying a non-refundable $270 deposit. This deposit, non-refundable under any circumstances, will be charged to the student's UM account or billed to non-UM students.
The remainder of the program fee will be charged to the enrolled students' UM accounts in November or billed to non-UM students.
