Summer Short Term Programs

1. Programs sponsored by Maryland's academic departments
The following programs are tentatively scheduled to run in the summer 2010.  Please check later in the fall for updates on new programs, dates and program fees. The applications for summer 2010 will open on December 1, 2009.

 

2. Programs with institutional or organizational arrangements with Maryland
  • Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS)
    University System of Maryland students receive a discount of $250 when applying to DIS programs through the University of Maryland, College Park. To apply, visit UM's DIS webpage.
  • IAESTE Program: EMPOWER - Engineering for a Sustainable Future - Sao Paulo and Foz do Iguaco, Brazil

  • University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC)
  • ACC-IAC Programs ^
      • University of Maryland students are encouraged to apply to these programs sponsored by members of the International Academic Collaborative of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
      • Fees: Pay the program fee to the sponsoring institution, and a $250 Study Abroad Fee to the University of Maryland
      • Be sure to check out the programs in China and Vietnam, Vietnam, and Turkey.
      • Maryland students are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship for ACC-IAC study abroad programs!  Apply for a UM Study Abroad Scholarship to be considered for this award.  The application deadline is February 18 so apply online TODAY!

^ Starting in January 2009, students who enroll in non-UM (College Park) affiliated programs for short term study abroad will be charged a $250 fee per program. This charge will appear directly on student accounts.
