Global Leaders Share Perspectives

The Office of International Programs capitalizes on UM's "unfair advantage" of proximity to Washington, DC to invite high level members of the diplomatic community to speak on campus each semester about their country's perspectives on current world conditions and likely future developments.

This lecture series began in 2001 and has included visits from the ambassadors of Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and Uganda.
