The University of Maryland College Park has a lively campus, with many activities and organizations for different groups. You can see a movie or a concert, go bowling, take a yoga class, or play golf—all without leaving campus. There are also many student organizations to join, from sports clubs to religious organizations. If you want to exercise, you can go to the Campus Recreation Center, and if you want to see a live performance, students get discounts at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. UM’s Campus Life website also has an extensive listing of on-campus activities.
International Coffee Hour
Free coffee, snacks and conversation with international and American students, staff, faculty, visitors, and scholars.

International Spouses Orientation
This group consists of advisors from International Education Services, volunteers, and spouses of international students, staff, faculty, visitors and scholars. They organize activities including a book club and trips in the area.
International Film Series
The Office of International Programs offers an international film series each year. Films are shown in the fall and spring on the first Wednesday of every month in the Hoff Theater in the Stamp Student Union. Films begin at 7 pm, are free, and are subtitled in English.
