Programs and Courses

The Maryland English Institute offers various programs and courses for non-native speakers of English, including a full-time intensive English language program, non-credit courses for matriculated students at the University of Maryland, and short, part-time courses for members of the community-at-large.

Customized programs are offered for groups of 10 or more and can be arranged by calling MEI at 301-405-8634. In addition to the classes we teach, we also evaluate the English language proficiency of international students who want to be admitted to the University and of International Teaching Assistants (ITAs).
